Privacy Policy

How FocusFR protects your privacy through client-side document processing, local browser storage, and transparent operational practices.

🛡️Our Core Privacy Commitment

FocusFR does not store or maintain user resume documents or images processed by our client-side tools on FocusFR servers.

Our core tools are built with a client-side architecture: your resume text and converted image files are processed directly within your browser session, and we do not maintain a centralized database of user resumes.

1. Introduction & Service Overview

At FocusFR (accessible at focusfr.com), we respect your personal and professional privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use our browser-based tools:

  • FocusFR Resume Studio: A structured, manual-entry resume editor and formatting suite where resume formatting and PDF compilation occur locally within your browser.
  • FocusFR Image-to-PDF Utility: A browser-based conversion utility that converts user-selected images (JPEG, PNG, WebP) into PDF documents directly in browser memory without uploading them to cloud storage.

2. Files and Documents

FocusFR's client-side document tools are designed so that resume content and images used by the Image-to-PDF tool are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to FocusFR for persistent storage. Resume information may be stored locally in your browser using browser storage so that your draft can persist between sessions. Image files selected for conversion are processed in browser memory to generate the requested PDF.

  • Client-Side Processing: Document compilation, layout sizing, and typography formatting take place entirely inside your browser runtime.
  • Browser Storage for Drafts: In Resume Studio, your active draft text is stored locally on your own device using browser storage (localStorage) so you can resume editing when returning to the site.
  • No Centralized Resume Database: FocusFR does not maintain a server-side database of user resume documents or personal career histories.
  • In-Memory Image Conversion: Images selected in the Image-to-PDF utility are read into browser memory solely to generate the output PDF file and are not saved on our servers.
  • Direct PDF Generation: PDF export files are compiled locally in the user's browser and delivered directly to your device downloads.

3. Information We Collect and Process

We maintain a clear distinction between the different categories of information handled across the platform:

  • Resume Content: Personal information you type into the Resume Studio (such as name, job titles, contact email, phone number, employment records, education, and skills) is processed client-side in your browser and saved in your local device storage. It is not transmitted to FocusFR servers for persistent storage.
  • Uploaded Images for Conversion: Image files you select in the Image-to-PDF utility are loaded temporarily into your browser memory to build the PDF document and are not stored by FocusFR.
  • No User Accounts & No Newsletter: FocusFR does not operate a newsletter, marketing email list, or user account system. We do not require you to create an account, register a password, or submit your email address to build, format, or export a resume.
  • Technical Information & Server Logs: When you access our website, standard web server logs receive technical request data sent by your browser (such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamp). This technical data is used strictly for routing traffic, system reliability, DDoS protection, and security auditing.
  • Cookies & Local Storage: We do not use third-party advertising tracking cookies. We utilize browser local storage (localStorage) solely to save your active resume draft locally on your device between browsing sessions.
  • Payment Information: FocusFR does not request, collect, or store payment card, banking, or credit card information.

4. Why We Process Information

We process technical and operational data solely for legitimate purposes:

  • To serve the web application files and stylesheets to your browser over secure connections.
  • To enable client-side JavaScript to render, format, and export your documents upon your command.
  • To maintain website security, prevent automated abuse, and mitigate denial-of-service threats.

5. Copyright and User Responsibility

Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to use any text, images, documents, or other content they process through FocusFR.

FocusFR is not a document hosting platform and does not publicly distribute user-uploaded or user-created content. Because documents and images are processed client-side in the user's browser, FocusFR does not maintain a public gallery or repository of user materials.

If you have questions or concerns regarding copyright or intellectual property related to FocusFR, please contact us at contact@focusfr.com.

6. Third-Party Infrastructure Services

To deliver web assets securely and reliably, FocusFR uses select third-party infrastructure providers:

  • Hosting & Edge Delivery: Cloud hosting infrastructure (such as Vercel) hosts our static web assets, executes serverless web routing, and provides DDoS mitigation. These services receive standard technical HTTP requests (such as IP address and user-agent strings) as part of normal web traffic delivery. FocusFR does not store user resume documents on these providers.
  • No Third-Party Advertising Pixels: We do not deploy cross-site advertising trackers or social surveillance pixels into our resume workspace.

7. No Sale of Personal Information

FocusFR does not sell, rent, commercialize, or trade user personal information, resume documents, or contact details to third-party data brokers, advertisers, recruiters, or headhunters.

8. How You Can Delete Your Data

Because your resume drafts are stored locally in your browser's local storage rather than on a centralized FocusFR server, you have direct control over removing your data:

  • In-App Clear: Using the reset or clear options inside the Resume Studio immediately removes your saved fields from your browser's local storage.
  • Browser Data Clearing: You can permanently remove all stored drafts at any time by clearing the site data and local storage for focusfr.com in your browser settings.
  • Zero Server Storage: Because FocusFR does not store your resumes in a database or run an email newsletter list, clearing your local device storage leaves zero residual documents on our servers.

9. Information Security

Communication between your browser and the FocusFR website is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (HTTPS / TLS). Because resume generation and image conversion take place locally in your browser, your document text and images are not transmitted across the internet to FocusFR servers for document rendering.

10. Children's Privacy

FocusFR is a general-audience service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at contact@focusfr.com so we can take appropriate steps to address the situation.
